Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been achieved on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has experienced a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
This represents his maiden championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface after March of 2023.
The win also signifies he has won 21 victories at twenty-one different competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my children at once, so to win a title is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child her name, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had lost his last six finals, featuring in that event previously this season.
The player's defensive strategy and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had caused some to wonder if his capacity to compete at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to advance forward and perform aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors traded breaks in the second set before the challenger, striving for his first tour championship, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet defended 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner clinched victory with a point at the net area, with Moutet unable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
